Glenna Milleman, center director, earned both her Bachelor and Master of Arts Degrees in communicative disorders at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. Graduating in 1998 with her M.A., she obtained her Certificate of Clinical Competence in 1999, working at the Stockton Scottish Rite Childhood Language Disorders Clinic.

After receiving her license to practice by the state of California in September of 1999, Glenna was hired by the San Francisco Scottish Rite Childhood Language Center to be its speech-language pathologist. A year later, she became the center's director. During her time at the Scottish Rite Childhood Language Disorders Center, Glenna has helped both to increase the number of clients who are treated and to change the format of the therapy sessions: from 25 children, seen in a one-on-one setting (one therapist/one child), to 70+ children, seen in both one-on-one settings and within in small groups (one therapist/two or more children).

Additionally, Glenna serves on the center Advisory Board with San Franisco and Burlingame Scottish Rite members, participates in fund raising efforts, writes grants for the center, and supervises speech-language pathology graduate students. She is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, California Speech Hearing Association, and the Order of the Easter Star (a Masonic organization).

Serving and participating in the center is a pleasure for Glenna; she enjoys meeting parents and children who come to her for treatment and support. Overall, Glenna has always felt that the children teach her more about perseverance, patience, and courage than she could ever receive elsewhere.
